Roll Call Tribute

Max White '52 September 27, 2021 11:32 AM updated: September 27, 2021 11:39 AM

Max Wade White
1929- September 22, 2021

On September 22, 2021, Max Wade White (91) died peacefully and has now joined his loving wife, Jeanne. Max is a long time resident of Sugar Land TX. where he enjoyed his life with friends, children and grandchildren until recently moving to the hill country residing at Celestecare of Horseshoe Bay, TX. A graduate of Texas A&M, a veteran of the United States Airforce, and an employee and Vice President of Ranger Insurance for almost 40 years, Max led a busy and full life. He and his family traveled extensively and always spent holidays and celebrations together.

Max volunteered thousands of hours to civic organizations and volunteer work and was particularly passionate about The Brookwood Community, a home for adults with disabilities in Brookshire Tx. Lifetime church members, Max and Jeanne taught Sunday school to all ages in Abilene, Lubbock, Kansas City and eventually at First United Methodist Church of Sugar Land, where they were active members of the Questers class. Max supported his wife in all her many accomplishments. He made sure she wanted for nothing and treated her like a queen until her last days. He always held her hand, especially during her failing health due to a long battle with Alzheimer's.

Max was a strong patriarch and good friend to all. He was a great husband, father, grandfather (Gran-Gran), and most recently, great grandfather! Max is survived by his loving children, daughters Wendy and Jeff Bingham, Kimberly and Brad Piel, Son Wade White, 8 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and a host of beloved friends and relatives.

We will gather to celebrate Max's life Saturday, October 9th 10am at First United Methodist Church, 431 Eldridge Rd., Sugar Land, Tx. 77478. There will be live stream options for those who cannot attend. Please contact the church for live stream information at 281-491-6041.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Max's memory to:
