October 11, 1961 - September 18, 2021
Charles “Chuck” Crawford, 59, of Enterprise, AL passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Prattville Baptist Hospital.
Chuck was a devoted family man and devout Christian with a love for reading, learning and teaching.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Hazel Crawford and his in-laws, Rex and Rebecca Mixson.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Martha Crawford, Enterprise, AL; son, Zach Crawford and his fiance, McKenna Palmer, Enterprise, AL; brothers-in-law, Roger Mixson (Becky), Headland, AL, David Mixson (Donna), Lincoln, AL; and nieces Caroline Holman, Headland, AL, Susana Pitzing (Zach), Dothan, Haley Wall (Jon), Severn, MD, and his 2 best dog friends, Bear and Hunny.
He is also survived by his birth family - Mother, Barbara Macierowski and husband, Bob; brothers, Glenn, Dirk and Eric Macierowski; sister, Macrena McClusky; and nieces and nephews.
Chuck only knew his birth family for a short time, but he loved them dearly and was so thrilled to have found them.
Chuck was involved in emergency medicine for over 40 years. As a paramedic, he worked with Haynes Ambulance and Enterprise Rescue. As a paramedic/instructor, he worked with Southeast EMS and as a nurse, Enterprise Medical Center and Flowers Hospital. A special thank you goes to the Flowers Hospital ER. He loved the ER, especially the people he worked with each day. They were a second family to him and he loved them.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 20, 2021 at County Line Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until service time.
