September 26, 1940 - August 29, 2021

Chris Farias was born on September 26, 1940 in Laredo, Texas. He passed away on August 29, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas of congestive heart failure.

Chris attended Texas A&M University and was a member of Corps of Cadets in Company F-1. He earned his Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and was a member of the Class of 1962.

After graduation he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in Corps of Engineers. He left active duty in 1965. After the Corps of Engineers he entered employment with H.B. Zachry Company as a Civil Engineer.

Later he formed his own General Construction Company in 1971. Chris was self-employed until retirement. He was a member of the Associated General Contractors of America.

Chris is survived by wife of 55 years, Marie C. Farias.

Additionally he is survived by 19 Children, including his sixteen adopted children, as well as his numerous grandchildren and great grand children.

Chris is survived by five siblings.

Funeral details are pending but Castillo Funeral Home in San Antonio will handle services and burial will be at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Chris was a very devout Christian and had a deep love for Texas A & M.

He will be missed.
