October 21, 1971 - August 22, 2021

Scott Richard Miller of Kingwood, Texas, 49 passed away Sunday, Aug 22, 2021, at HCA Kingwood Hospital from complications due to pneumonia and COVID-19.

Scott was born, Thursday, October 21, 1971, in Sauk Centre Minnesota, to Marvin and Carol Miller. The family moved to Pottsboro, Texas in 1979 where he grew up, played football, fished in Lake Texoma, attended school, and worked for his dad. He graduated Pottsboro High School in 1990 3rd in his class, lettering in football. Scott attended Texas A&M University in College Station. Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology in 1996.

Scott met the love of his life, Robyn, in 2008 in Arkansas and married in 2011. Scott loved being a dad to Mason and always said it was one of the greatest accomplishments of his life. Scott’s pride and joy was his family. Scott was a protective, loving and encouraging father and husband. Scott adored his wife and son, loved to spoil them, went fishing any chance he could, and never missed an Aggie football game.

Scott was a true outdoorsman. He loved fishing and hunting and was a grill master at heart. Most weekends you’d find him swimming in his pool, out in the bay fishing, or just hanging out with his family while having a BBQ. Scott loved an adventure, especially if it included the outdoors, fishing, snorkeling or scuba diving. He loved music and collecting records and loved to find a great deal at an estate sale. He was always there to help out his family and friends.

In his career, Scott worked for a number of manufacturing and bottling companies, specializing in inventory/warehouse management, quality assurance and overall plant management. The past 10 years he’s spent running Earth Energy.

Scott is preceded in death by his and Robyn’s unborn babies, his parents; brother Julian Joseph Miller, and nephew Liam DeVoy.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years Robyn and son Mason, siblings Terrie Van Huss of Hillsboro, Illinois, Bob Miller and wife Julie of Pottsboro, Texas, Dawn Milbut '86 and husband Tony of The Woodlands, Texas, Patrick Miller and wife Connie of Austin, Texas, and Kathy Kirkland '96 of Pottsboro, Texas; half siblings Jim Miller and wife Mary of Fort Myers, Florida, Julie Young and husband Bill of Fort Myers, Florida, Susie Miller and husband Gerry Schuetz of Cape Coral, Florida, and Sunny West of Fort Worth, Texas; father-in-law Dennis Moody and mother-in-law Kathy Moody of Kingwood, Texas; brother-in-law Brian Moody and wife Melanie of Normal, Illinois; aunt June Jackson and cousins Renee Jackson and Christine Bergene of Irving, Texas; nieces and nephews Dennis Ross, Kristine Morales, Douglas Ross, David Gervais, Sean Strayer, Joshua Strayer, Brenda Hemann, Jonathan Gervais, Whitley Knight, Bailey Knight, Jessica DeVoy, Maryann Van Huss, Ryan Cronin, Luke Miller, Jared Miller, Morgan Moody, Grayson Moody, Preston Moody, Colton Kirkland, Jackson Kirkland, and Grayson Kirkland; and many more cousins, and great nephews and nieces.
