April 20, 1937 - November 26, 2020

Mr. Gilmer “Gil” Dean Ulbricht of Fredericksburg passed away on Thursday, November 26th at the age of 83 years.

Gilmer “Gil” Dean Ulbricht was born on April 20th, 1937 in New Braunfels, Texas to Helmuth Oswald and Walburga Augusta Heitkamp Ulbricht.

He married Joycelyn “Tude” Sue Jackson on December 31st, 1963 in Lufkin, Texas.

Mr. Gilmer “Gil” Ulbricht is survived by his wife, Joycelyn “Tude” Sue Jackson Ulbricht of Fredericksburg. His two daughters, three sons and spouses. Edward '87 and Barbara Ulbricht of Richardson, Texas, Ruth and Keith Parnell of Rancho Santa Fe, California, Sue '89 and Anders Dahl of Ackerly, Texas, Charles '91 and Catalina Ulbricht of Denver, Colorado, and John and Dawn Ulbricht of Round Rock, Texas. He is survived by fifteen grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Also survived by two sisters, Jackie and Kenny Kunz of Fredericksburg and Mary Kennard of Pflugerville, Texas.

As per his request he will be cremated with a Memorial Mass to be held on Friday, December 11th at 2 P.M. in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fredericksburg

Interment of his cremains will take place in the Lufkin Cemetery.

Family will greet friends from 1 to 2 P.M. in church with a rosary service at 1:30 and military honors at 1:45.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be given in his memory to St. Mary’s School, Gillespie County A&M Scholarship Fund, Hill County Hospice or to the charity of your choice.

Live streaming of the services will start at 1:30 P.M. Friday, December 11th www.fbg.live/schaetters.
