Leo F. Ernstes, 90, Texas A&M Class of ‘52 and longtime dairy farmer in Katy, TX and Swiss Alp, TX passed away June 27, 2021.

Funeral services will be held from the St. Rose Catholic Church in Schulenburg, Texas on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 11 am. The Parish rosary will be recited prior to the mass at 10:30 am from the Church.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg, Texas.

Interment will be in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in Schulenburg, Texas.

The family requests donations be made to: St. Rose Catholic Church, Schulenburg, Texas; or the Schulenburg Food Pantry; or Brazos Valley Hospice; or a charity of one's choice.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Dr. Charles McDonald, sister-in-law Mary Ernstes and numerous nieces and nephews.

Leo was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Ernstes, and sisters Mary Ann Ernstes, Gladys Sodolak and Clara Guice; brothers Lloyd and Albert Ernstes.
