John Henry Felton
March 15, 1931 - May 18, 2021

John (Jug) Felton, beloved Husband, Brother, Father, and Grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2021 at the age of 90. John was born March 15, 1931 in Little Rock, Arkansas, one of two children to Stony and Fishel Felton. He was a long time resident of April Sound, Montgomery, TX.

John was a proud member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of '53 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. John spent 27 years as a Real Estate and Insurance professional in Beaumont, TX. He continued practicing real estate in the Houston/Conroe area until he was 84 years old and retired in 2015.

John was a devoted husband of 60 years to his wife Mary. John adored Mary and was her best friend. John was a father to Blake and Thad Felton and grandfather to his eight grandchildren. He supported his kids and grandchildren unconditionally. John was always up for an adventure, sporting event, and creating memories.

John was part of "B" Troop Calvary in the Corp of Cadets at Texas A&M. He loved his university and could recall every football game, specifically scores of games dating back to his days at A&M in the 1950's. He held season tickets for many years as well as introduced and influenced his sons' attendance and graduation from Texas A&M in addition to three of his grandchildren.

John is survived by his loving wife Mary, of Montgomery, TX; his two sons Blake '85 (wife Barbie '85) of the Woodlands, TX and Thad '87 (wife Jennifer) of Beaumont, TX; eight grandchildren, Brett '14 (wife Megan), Colby, Kyndall, Kinsey, Leah '21, Cameron, Auggie, and Harper; brother Stony Jr (wife Banjo) of New Braunfels, TX; niece Channe and nephew Stony III both of New Braunfels, TX.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2nd at April Sound Church (67- 1/2 April Wind Dr. S, Montgomery, TX 77356). In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Lake Conroe Helping Hands (same address as above) or the Montgomery County A&M Club Scholarship Fund (Montgomery County A&M Club Attn: Scholarship Foundation PO Box 9051 The Woodlands, TX 77387).
