James Forrest Mathis
SEPTEMBER 28, 1925 – APRIL 11, 2021
On April 10, 2021 James F. Mathis passed away at the age of 95. James was born September 28, 1925 in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M in 1946 with a Chemical engineering degree, and the University of Wisconsin in 1949 with his PhD. He started working for Exxon Chem in 1950 and retired in 1985.
He is preceded in death by his wife Frances (d2010) and his son Alan F Mathis (1993). He is survived by his daughter Lisa Mathis and grandson James P Mathis both Houston, TX, his brother John Mathis of Madison, Wisconsin as well as nieces and nephews in Wisconsin and California. He has nieces and nephews and a brother and sister-in-law in the Houston, TX area also.
