Charles Parnell Amrock, II
November 15, 1953 - May 06, 2021

Chip Amrock, 67, passed from this life to his Lord on Thursday, May 6, 2021.

Chip was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, on Nov. 15, 1953, as the only child of Leona and the late Charles P. Amrock. His childhood was spent traveling and living abroad during his father's service in the U.S. Air Force, which eventually brought them to South Carolina and later Fort Worth where Chip finished high school. Chip graduated from Texas A&M in 1975 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering and was active in the Corps of Cadets. Chip was a veteran of the Air Force and spent his active duty in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

He was dedicated to his career in the oilfield from Corpus Christi, Oklahoma City, Tulsa and ultimately Midland, Texas in 2006, with XTO Energy. One of his life's passions was shooting and he became a Master Class shooter in the National Sporting Clay Association.

Chip is survived by his mother, Leona Amrock of Oklahoma City; and many cousins and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles P. Amrock.

Chip was a kind and compassionate man with many lifelong friends with whom he loved spending time: Phillip and Patricia Schraub, Pat Dillon, and many more. Chip was a beloved friend and son and will be sorely missed. His legacy will continue to support Texas A&M through scholarships.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2021 in Greenwood Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Dawn Enderwood from Edmond, OK officiating.
