Wednesday, September 16th, 1959 - Friday, April 23rd, 2021

Michael Earnest Erwin, 61, passed away on April 23, 2021, in Dallas, TX after a valiant fight with pancreatic cancer.

Funeral Mass: 2 p.m. Friday, April 30 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 5819 W Pleasant Ridge Rd, Arlington. Visitation and Rosary: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 29 with a Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Wade Family Funeral Home Chapel, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington. Private Family Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. If you plan to attend any of Michael's services, the family asks that you wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Memorials: Memorial donations can be made in Michael's name to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, and the Knights of Columbus Chapter #6269.

Michael was born on September 16, 1959 in Dallas, TX, to Lloyd Richard Erwin and Pasqualina Josefina Picardo Erwin. Michael graduated from Nolan Catholic High School in 1978. He was the proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie class of 1982, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Economics. After graduating from college, he moved to Jefferson, Iowa where he met Judith Lyon, whom he married on August 31, 1985 in Arlington, TX. The couple had 2 children, Jessica and Michelle.

Michael was best known for putting his faith and family first. He never met a stranger and was a loyal friend. Michael was very active at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved the Texas Rangers, Aggies, being outdoors, and traveling.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Richard Erwin; mother, Pasqualina Erwin; stepmother, Rose Erwin; and brother, Lloyd Harvey Erwin.

Survivors: Loving wife of 35 years, Judith Erwin; daughters, Jessica (Jessie) Johnson and Michelle Erwin; grandson, Gavin Johnson; granddaughter, Charlotte Johnson; son-in-law, Jeremy Johnson; sister, Nora Smith; step-sisters, Tricia Hajek and Cheryl Strickland; brother-in-law, David Lyon; sister-in-law, Christine Lyon; as well as his nieces and nephews.
