Theodore James Rohling
August 21, 1947 - March 22, 2021

Theodore J. Rohling, 73, was called to the Lord on March 21, 2021.

Theodore James Rohling was born in Tacoma, WA on August 21, 1947. He was raised in Laurel, MT where he went to Laurel High School and was a proud member of the Laurelaire’s. He also, with a few friends, was the bass player and manager of The Blazers, a cover band. Ted did not stop at a high school diploma. He went on to receive 3 Master’s degrees, one of which he received from Texas A&M University and was working on his 4th degree at his passing. He was a very proud member of Mensa International.

He spent most of his life traveling all over the world. His favorite trips were to Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM with his wife Melanie and his children. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America participating in the adult education program. He also volunteered with many organizations including KLRN, San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, and the Valero Texas Open. His last years were spent as a student mentor for Western Governors University and mentored many students.

He is survived by his wife Melanie Rohling, his children, Melissa Kelly (Nick), Deborah Simpson (Stuart), Stacey Rohling (Marc), Jason Rohling (Kristin), James Rohling (Aimee), and Sarah Covington (Zac). He was blessed with 11 grandchildren, and an honorary great-granddaughter.
