AUGUST 12, 1936 – APRIL 28, 2020
Florence Sulea Yancey Steward was born on August 12, 1936 and passed away on April 28, 2020 and is under the care of Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Florence was a student at Texas A&M University and received her Master's degree in Educational Curriculum & Instruction. She graduated with the Class of 1986.
She was a Teacher for the Beaumont Independent School District and eventually retired from Price Elementary School.
She is survived by husband Dr. Harold R. Steward '90, and children Dr. Samuel W. Johnson, Jr. '82 and Cindy Sulea Johnson Beall. She is also survived by grandchildren Thomas Neild '02 and Austin Beall '10.
