Christopher Jenkins
September 12, 1981 ~ January 20, 2021 (age 39)

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our son and brother, Christopher Todd Jenkins, age 39, of College Station, Texas.

He will always be known as a sensitive soul with a large heart and love for all things furry, especially his dog, Minnie. Chris grew up in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Macarthur High School. He was an academic All-American swimmer in high school and captain of the team. He loved San Antonio and some of our fondest memories as a family are there. He was accepted into three military service academies out of high school and attended the Air Force Academy. He eventually also attended Texas A&M. He spent 4 years serving our country in the Navy and was extremely patriotic. Most recently he worked for FedEx and enjoyed his employment there while continuing to pursue an IT degree.

Chris loved others with his whole heart. Although he did struggle with many demons, he never lost his faith in Our Lord, Jesus Christ. We are thankful for the countless angels God brought into his life to help him maintain his faith despite these struggles.

Chris is survived by the most loving parents any son could ask for, Dr. and Mrs. Terry and Karen Jenkins, as well as his loving sisters Erin and Ellen; 2 brothers-in-law; 4 nephews; and 3 nieces who will always remember their Uncle Chris. He is preceded in death by all of his grandparents; his "Aunt" JoAnn; as well as nephews, Jackson and Jake. We all envision them opening their arms to him and welcoming him Home.

Chris's life will be celebrated at Christ United Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest privately by his family at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Manna House, a Christ based addiction recovery center in Brookshire, Texas (1234 FM 359 Brookshire, TX, 77423; www.mannahousetx.com). This was a place of salvation for Chris and we are forever grateful for the time he spent there.
