July 14, 1929 ~ December 20, 2020 (age 91)

Mr. Charles “Speedy” Willis, 91, of Pittsburg, Texas passed into heaven suddenly on December 20, 2020. Mr. Willis was born July 14, 1929 to Brice Eli Willis and Esther Louise Wilson in Hughes Springs, Texas.

Speedy graduated from Texas A&M University in 1950 with a degree in agricultural education. Thereafter he served his country in the United States Navy. After discharge from the Navy, he was the assistant County Agent in Athens. He moved to Pittsburg in 1960. He owned a dairy farm and was a chemist for Lone Star Steel until his retirement.

Speedy was a one of a kind and was loved by many. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Willis of Carrollton, Texas; granddaughter Fallon Morhman; great-grandson, Grant Morhman, and a special friend, Mary Morriss. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donald Willis; sister, Carolyn Smith; and beloved son, Bodie Willis.
