Carol Jean Terrell
July 14, 1957 - April 01, 2021

Carol Jean Terrell was the daughter of Robert Terrell and Bernice Alviso, born in San Antonio, TX on July 14, 1957 and entered the gates of heaven on April 1, 2021. She was the only child of her mother. Both her mother and father preceded her in death. Carol Jean Terrell was the loving mother of her only son Staff Sergeant Colton Ross Terrell of the Marines and beloved Grandmother of Lailynn Jade Terrell. She graduated in the class of 1975 from Highland High School. After high school, she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. She is a proud Aggie and always represented her school colors and wore her class ring. Family members and classmates of hers refer to her as Carol Jean.

Carol Jean spent over 16 years working at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems in McKinney, TX as a Systems Value Engineer. Prior to her experience at Raytheon Technologies, she spent over 19 years of her career working for Lockheed Martin as a Senior Operations Analyst Specialist. All those who worked with her know her to be a woman of courage, ingenuity, perseverance and grace. Carol Jean was an advocate for equal opportunity for women in the workplace. She was a vital member of the Raytheon Women’s Network. She also devoted much of her time to volunteering with the youth, focusing on future young women of the world, educating them in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and potential careers and opportunities they could have in store for them in their future. Carol Jean was known by all for her infectious laugh, compassion, giving and forgiving heart.

Carol Jean was an example of self-sacrifice. She put the needs of others before her own. She often donated blood through Carter BloodCare. Carol Jean also supported several non-profit organizations, including Girls, Inc., Boys & Girls Club of America, and Girl Scouts of America. Her love showed through her smile and brought light to the world.

Carol Jean leaves many legacies behind. Two of which are her son, Colton Ross Terrell, and granddaughter Lailynn Jade Terrell. She is beloved by all who have met her and will be forever missed. She is our #aggiegirlcaroljean.
