Juan Omar Saenz
February 12, 1952 - October 31, 2020

Juan Omar Saenz, 68, was born on February 12, 1952 in Premont, Tx, and was called to his eternal resting place on October 31, 2020. He was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. He is preceded in death by; his mother, Manuela Garcia; father, Manuel Saenz; sister, Martha Gonzalez; and brother Oscar Saenz.

Johnny was a proud Aggie and alumni of the Texas A&M Class of 1974. He was a hard worker and dedicated 35 years of service to Del Monte Corp. in Crystal City, Tx. After retiring from there, staying at home was not his thing and he began to work as a lineman at Right of Way Services. Faith was something that drove Johnny in everything that he did. He was a devout Catholic and a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was very active in his church of many years, Our Lady of Guadalupe, in Carrizo Springs, Tx. He loved barbecuing and would often BBQ briskets for plate sales at the church, while volunteering his daughters to make 10 pounds of potato salad!

Johnny loved playing golf, watching all sports especially football, and in true Aggie fashion, tried to make it to at least one live Aggie game a year. He never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. He will eternally be known as one of God's most faithful servants. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Maria Guadalupe Saenz; his children, Nora Obregon (Edward), Jose Omar Saenz (Alexys), and Edna-Marie Saenz; grandchildren, Gabriel Isaiah Obregon, Jesse Manuel Geurkink, and Esteban Guyitano Saenz; sisters, Mary Garza (Sergio), and Mirta Martinez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Castle Ridge Mortuary North (10901 W Loop 1604 N. San Antonio, Tx, 78254), with a prayer service to be recited at 10:30 am, in the Serenity Chapel. With interment to follow at Santa Cruz Family Cemetery.
