Dianne Hanover Puckett
May 08, 1948 - March 18, 2021

Dianne Hanover Puckett was called home to our Lord and Savior on March 18, 2021 surrounded by her family after an 11-year battle with cancer. She was born on May 8, 1948 in Bryan, TX to Tom and Isobel Hanover. She was the second of four children and grew up in Austin, TX. After graduation from McCallum High School, she attended Texas A&M University, where she was one of the first women graduates in 1970. She remained faithful to her alma mater of A&M and instilled the Aggie spirit in her family. After graduation, she briefly taught school in Bryan and then moved to Dallas where she met her husband of 49 years, Mark Puckett. After the marriage, they relocated to Austin, TX to work for the family business, Hanover Building Materials. Together they took great pride in raising their son Bryan and daughter Lisa. Dianne had a passion for helping people, gardening, hummingbirds, her family and the Texas coast, especially her beloved Rockport. Dianne spent many memorable days with her two children and five grandchildren exploring all the Gulf Coast has to offer. Dianne always put others before herself and was a tremendous wife, mother, and MoMo. Her strength was immeasurable as she fought valiantly, defying the odds over and over again. The family and Dianne wish to express their sincerest gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to all of the staff at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Oncology who fought valiantly beside her.

Dianne is preceded in death by her father, Tom Hanover, mother, Isobel Hanover, younger brother Billy Jim Hanover. She is survived by her husband Mark Puckett formerly of Austin, TX now residing in Cypress, TX; Son Bryan Puckett and his wife Carrie; Daughter Lisa Davenport and her husband Troy; grandchildren McKenzie Davenport, Allie Puckett, Brady Puckett, Benjamin Davenport & Luke Davenport; older brother Tommy Hanover and his wife Sylvia; younger sister Yvonne Boatner and her husband Larry; as well as seven loving nieces and nephews Trey Hanover, Christie Mathis, Greg Hanover, Cody Hanover, Jay Hanover, Tinsey Hanover, Logan Boatner.

Memorial service to be held at a later date. Dianne and her family graciously requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) of Texas.
