Elmer Thomas Kolle
OCTOBER 29, 1936 – FEBRUARY 25, 2021
Elmer “Tom” Kolle, 84, was received into the loving arms of our lord on February 25, 2021. Tom was born on October 29, 1936 in Inez, Texas to the late Elmer and Nedith Kolle. He grew up on his family’ cattle ranch and attended Industrial Schools. One of Dad’s fondest memories was coming home after church on Sunday, the family packing a picnic lunch, saddling up the horses and they would all ride to the creek to eat and swim.
Tom attended Texas A&M University where he received his degree in Agriculture/Economics. His 6’5” height and skill earned him a place in their Basketball Hall of Fame.
During a visit home, Tom was set up on a blind date with Patricia Lemburg, which was NOT love at first sight, but fortunately for us these two ended up together. They had 42 wonderful years before the lord called Patsy home. Tom and Pat were blessed with 3 children, Kimberly Virga (James) of Brighton, MI, Kerry Thompsett (James) of Canton MI and Kyle Kolle '91 of Saginaw, Texas.
Tom had a passion for family and travel. One of Tom’s greatest joys was being successful enough in his business life to be able to surprise his children and wife, Carrol with several family vacations to beautiful destinations.
Tom is survived by his devoted wife Carrol (McKinney), his sister Karen Kolle, his grandchildren, Lindsay, Melissa, Aaron, Jaime, Jessica, Jamie, Jordan, Kaden and Kyler. His great grandchildren, Addison, Madalyn, Mason and Laith.
Visitation will be held on Thursday March 4, 2021 from 5-7pm. and funeral services will be on March 5th at 10:00am at Rosewood Funeral Chapel with burial immediately following at Memorial Park Cemetery in Victoria.
