William James Brown Jr.
SEPTEMBER 7, 1957 – MARCH 8, 2021

William “Bill” Brown Jr left us on March 8, 2021. He was born in Colorado Springs to Bill Sr. and Janet Phillips. After graduating from Kofa High School in Yuma, AZ, Bill served 8 years in the US Navy as an Avionics Technician on the USS Kitty Hawk. After his time in the Navy Bill graduated from Texas A&M University in 1993 with a degree in Sociology, and he retired from the Texas Health & Human Services Department in 2015 after 21 years.

Bill is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jennifer Brown '92, four children- Billy Brown '04 (Amy), Sabrina Braus '06 (Dominic '03), Bobby Brown (Yasmin) and Allison Brown. He loved spending time with Hampa’s buddy- grandson Logan Brown.

Bill is survived by sisters Willann Thomas (Larry), Angie Adams (Jack) and Cindy Ayala. He is preceded in death by his brother JC Brown and sister Glenda Brown, along with his parents. Bill has more than 20 nieces and nephews across an extended family.

After a celebration of life service, Bill will be interred at Houston National Cemetery with full military honors. As an organ donor, he encouraged everyone to Donate Life and was proud to pass on whatever he could to help someone in need.
