Louis Colyar McIlheran
March 1, 1939 - December 16, 2020

Louis Colyar McIlheran, known as Colyar to his friends, passed away from complications of COVID 19 on December 16, 2020 at the age of 81. He was known and much loved as Dad, Granddaddy and Great-Granddaddy to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a true Aggie to the end of his life, tenacious, loyal, hard-working and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Colyar was born in Dallas, Texas on March 1, 1939 to Louis Rountree and Dale Rosamond McIlheran. He grew up in Abilene, Texas where he enjoyed life with his parents and his siblings David, Elise and Delia. After high school he attended Texas A&M where he graduated with a degree in Journalism to pursue his lifelong career in sales. While at A&M he married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Ann Gilliam. Colyar and Beverly had two children. He will be sorely missed by his son Mark, daughter Holly, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
