AUGUST 24, 1928 – APRIL 8, 2020

Clayton “Woody” Alex Eisenhauer, 91, returned to his heavenly home on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 after a short illness. He resided in San Antonio for most of his life, but enjoyed the last 17 years living on the Eisenhauer Ranch in Charlotte, Tx. His devotion to his family and friends and his firm belief in God supported him and ultimately gave him peace.

Woody was born to the late George and Tillie Eisenhauer in San Antonio, TX on August 24, 1928. He attended Texas A&M University. He served four years in the Air Force 1952-1956, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He worked for USSA’s Life Company for 17 years, retiring in 1986. He was an active member in the Divine Savior Lutheran Church.

Woody loved spending his time fishing, hunting, and working the ranch. He enjoyed many adventures and loved to travel!

Countless relatives, friends, fishing and hunting buddies will fondly remember time spent with Woody Eisenhauer. He will be remembered by his infectious smile and love of life.

Woody was preceded in death by his parents, brother George “Pete” W. Eisenhauer, and Wife Gladys E. Eisenhauer.

He is survived; by son, Rob Eisenhauer and wife Mary, daughter, Hollie M. Eisenhauer; 2 grandsons; Sister, Norma Newbury; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Woody, will be private, due to the COVID-19 restrictions on gathering. There will be a Private burial on Tuesday, April 14th at Sunset Memorial Park thank you. We will have a celebration of life to take place at a latter time and date.
