Herbert M. Kurtz, Jr.
September 16, 1928 - February 25, 2021
He was born September 16,1928 and he passed away February 25, 2021.
He graduated from Texas A&M in 1958 with a degree in Agricultural Engineering. He worked for the Soil Conservation Service in Dublin, Texas. He also worked for the Corp of Engineers in Fort Worth, Tx and then held various positions in the Dept of Labor Occupational Safety And Health Administration in Lubbock,Tx, San Antonio, Tx, Austin, Tx, and Dallas, Tx.
Upon retiring from the Department of Labor, he worked at LTV in Grand Prairie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Kurtz.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Melissa Kurtz Lanier '82 and Glenn Lanier '82; and a grandson, Bradley Lanier '11 and his wife Suzanne Spiegle Lanier '13.
