Scott Layne Davis
January 13, 1956 - October 14, 2020

Scott Layne Davis born January 13, 1956 went to be with his heavenly father on October 14, 2020.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Timothy Luke Davis Jr and Norma Joanne Garoutte Davis of Jones Creek, TX.

He is survived by his brothers Timothy Luke Davis III and his wife Claire of Foxboro, MA and Marc Lowell Davis and his wife Cathy of Lake Jackson, TX and his sister Jayna Lynelle Davis-Brister and her husband Claude of Richmond, TX.

He married the love of his life, Sandra (Sandy) Nicole Tobin-Davis on June 20th, 1981.

Their union produced two sons, Sean Ross Davis and his wife Kasandra of Richmond, TX and Shane Kyle Davis and his wife Emily.

His children’s integrity and kindness is a testament to his decency and love as a parent.

He was a loving grandfather to his three grandchildren Colten Ross Davis, Kasen Layne Davis and Kennedy Kristine Davis. The uncle to many nieces and nephews who referred to him as Uncle Marshmallow because he could not refuse them anything.

Scott graduated from Brazosport High School class of 1974 where he was an all-state French horn player for the Exporter band.

He was then accepted to Texas A&M class of 1978 and was a member of the Fighting Texas Aggie Band. He was actively involved within the community and youth athletics. He was a humble man, loved his family and never met a stranger. He will be sorely missed by all.

There will be a celebration of life at 12:30 pm on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the Memorial Church of Christ, 900 Echo Ln, Houston, TX 77024.
