He loved his Family and Friends dearly. He was extremely intelligent, outgoing, visionary and loved leading and developing individuals whether it was coaching his son’s and daughter’s select soccer teams or his R&D employees and colleagues.

Dennis and Judi’s deep love and faith kept their marriage strong throughout their lives together and especially during his 4.5 year valiant fight with brain cancer. Family and Friends kept Dennis and Judi’s spirits up and their granddaughter, Emmeline, who was born shortly before they moved back to Austin, brought pure joy into their lives.

The Lay Family plans to create a memorial scholarship in Dennis’ name for Texas A&M students pursuing a degree in the sciences. The Family asks that donations be made in Dennis’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital so that children have a chance to live a normal life cured of cancer: www.stjude.org/donatetoday.
