Royce Arnold Matkin
DECEMBER 30, 1949 – JANUARY 9, 2021
Royce Arnold Matkin was born in Del Rio, Tx on December 30, 1949. After graduating from Killeen High School in 1968, Royce graduated from Texas A&M in 1972 with a BS in Industrial Engineering. Most of his adult life was spent serving the community in different capacities through the City of Killeen and Bell County. Royce thoroughly enjoyed being a Grandpa to his five grandchildren, a husband, a father, spending time at the ranch, and a faithful servant of the community.
Preceeded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Beth; daughter and son-in-law Lucy and William North of Champaign, IL; Julia and Tad Dorroh of Killeen; and grandchildren Isaiah, Isaac, and Thomas North, and Zane and Sadie Dorroh; bonus daughter Lacey Hood; brothers, Roger and Joe Matkin of Boerne, Tx; numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of those who loved him. He began enjoying the wonders of Heaven on January 9, 2021 after battling complications from Covid-19.
