Obituary of Charles Earvy STEPHENSON
Charles E. Stephenson, better known by many as "Chuck”, joined our Heavenly Father on January 10, 2021 at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Plano after a brief COVID 19-related illness. Chuck was a highly respected custom home builder in the Dallas market. For years his company Stephenson Custom Builder's Inc. designed and built some of Dallas’ finest custom residences.

Chuck was born on March 13, 1945 in Houston Texas. He was the son of Roy Stephenson Jr. and Laura Frances (Ross) Stephenson. He and his siblings Frances Stephenson Harrison and Ralph Stephenson were was raised in the Houston metro area. He graduated from high school in 1963. He continued his education at Texas A&M University, College Station. While there he was a proud member of the Corps of Cadets. He also enjoyed being a member of the “Singing Cadets”, He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural construction, graduating with honors in 1967.

After graduation Chuck joined Foster Wheeler Corp. He and Donna soon moved to Japan where Chuck was a resident engineer during the construct of a Mobil petrochemicals plant. Chuck and his family then returned to Dallas where he joined Dal-Mac Construction and Development. During his time with Dal-Mac Chuck became a partner in the firm. In 1985 Chuck began his career in residential construction founding Stephenson Custom Builders Inc. He enjoyed great success for 40 years in this industry, retiring in 2018.

In 1967, Chuck met the love of his life Donna Christ. The two of them were married on December 20, 1968 in Houston. In August of 1969, they welcomed the birth of their daughter Stacey. Chuck was a devoted father and grandfather. He was blessed with two wonderful grandsons Hudson and Hogan. Chuck and Donna were hands-on grandparents to the boys and very involved in their lives. Chuck is survived by his wife of 52 years Donna of Plano, his daughter Stacey and her husban Dale Call of Rockwall and two grandsons Hudson and Hogan Molthan of Plano. Also surviving is his brother Ralph Stephenson ('74) and his wife Nancy of Boerne, TX and his brother-in-law David Harrison of Fredericksburg, TX.

Because of COVID-19 challenges, there will be no memorial services at this time. However a celebration of his life will take place at a future date. Those who wish may make a memorial contribution in Chuck’s name can do so to the American Diabetes at //www.diabetes.org/donate.
