Jerry Price Pelham
December 24, 1935 - January 19, 2021

Jerry P. Pelham, of Groesbeck, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in Providence Hospital in Waco.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the Pavilion in Faulkenberry Cemetery with Pastor Jon Honea officiating.

Pallbearers are Danny Hewitt, Marcus Hanna, Sam Moody, Olen Moody, and Jimmy Pelham.

Jerry was born in Limestone County on December 24, 1935 to Lawton Bryan Pelham and Ollie Maud (Polly) Pelham. He attended Groesbeck public schools, played on the Groesbeck Goats football and basketball teams, and graduated in the Class of 1954. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree and from Baylor University with a master’s degree.

Jerry was united in marriage with Glenda Beavers in Groesbeck at the First Baptist Church.

During his lifetime, Jerry was employed as a bank examiner and worked for the IRS for forty years. Jerry remained good friends with the people he knew and loved to keep in touch with everyone.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Glenda and other extended family.
