August 30, 1928 - January 12, 2021
H. Wayne Nickell, 92, passed away on Tuesday; January 12, 2021 in Fort Worth.
Wayne was born August 30, 1928 in GlenRose, Texas to James and Edythe Wilson Nickell.
Wayne was a graduate of Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.
The family would like to extend their most heartful appreciation to the staff of Bridgmoor of Fort Worth and to the staff of Encompass Hospice.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Lois Nickell and a sister, LaVelle Reynolds.
He is survived by his sons, Barry W. Nickell '77 and wife Page '77 and R. Scott Nickell '81 and wife Marsha '79; grandchildren, Kyle Nickell '01 and wife Susan, Ashley Nickell Thomas '05 and husband Scott '06 and Garrett Nickell '18; great-grandchildren, Emily Nickell, Olivia Thomas, Adam Nickell and Andrew Thomas; nephew, Kerry Reynolds and other extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM. Friday; January 22, 2021 at Squaw Creek Cemetery in Glen Rose under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
