LINDA D. ALBRITTON
July 17, 1956 - January 6, 2021

Linda D. Albritton, ’78, age 64 of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away peacefully at home in Honolulu on January 6, 2021. She was born in Pensacola, Florida. Along with her wife Rosemary Kyte, Linda is survived by her father Charles R. Albritton of Sarasota, Florida.

In the fall of 1974, Linda joined W-1, the special unit set aside for the first female members of the Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets. After graduation in 1978, Linda received her commission in the US Navy separating with an Honorable Discharge in 1984 at the rank of LTJG/O-2.

While at A&M, Linda was always being asked if she was related to Ford Albritton, a well known Aggie. It wasn’t until many years after graduation that Linda discovered a link in her family tree to the late Ford Albritton.

Linda held a variety of consulting positions in Washington, D.C., Texas and Hawaii; and then was appointed to the federal service in 2005. As a health care systems specialist, she served the Military Health System in Japan, Hawaii and San Diego, California. She returned to Hawaii in 2018, and retired March 2020 as a GS-13 from her position as Chief Strategy & Innovation / Continuous Process Improvement for the U.S. Army Dental Health Command - Pacific.
