APRIL 13, 1927 – NOVEMBER 29, 2020

Charles (Charlie) Ray Hirschfield, age 93, of Spring, Texas passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020. Charlie was born April 13, 1927 in Houston, Texas to parents Charles Fred Hirschfield, Jr. and Annie Mary Augusta Windt Hirschfield. Charlie graduated from Jeff Davis High School where he played football. He went on to play football at Texas A & M University, but joined the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war, he went to and graduated from the University of Houston. Charlie had a career in Oil and Gas and worked in the finance department at Hughes Tool Company. He was proud of the fact that he was the manager of the Northwest Houston Little League team that went to the Little League World's Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1963. Advent Presbyterian Church in Spring, Texas was his church home.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jessie Aldis Mitchell, brother Lloyd Aldis, wife Anoel Whittaker Hirschfield and daughter Darlene Hirschfield. Those left to cherish his memories are: daughter Terry Hirschfield Capps, of Spring, Texas, son Hal Edward Hirschfield and wife Julie of Conroe, Texas, son Ross Alan Hirschfield and wife Vicky of Brenham, Texas, grandchildren: Wesley Capps and husband Doug Brown of Phoenix, Arizona, Kammi Hirschfield Kelly and husband Mike of Kingwood, Texas, Kevin Hirschfield and wife Sara of Kingwood, Texas, Jon Ross Hirschfield and wife Heather of Corpus Christi, Texas, Kristin Capps Davenport and husband Adam of Spring, Texas, Clint Hirschfield and wife Lindsey of Brenham, Texas, Shelly Hirschfield Ford and husband Matt of Waller, Texas, Haley Hirschfield of San Marcos, Texas; 15 great-grandchildren and nephew Wallace Mitchell and his wife Linda.

Family and friends will gather to remember Charlie on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Brookside Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service beginning promptly at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
