June 25, 1970 - December 10, 2020

Gregory Bruce Cook, 50, passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020. He was a kind and loving husband to his wife of 25 years, Shannon Bullock Cook.

Greg was born in Amarillo, Texas on June 25, 1970. He graduated Canyon High School in 1988. Greg attended Texas A&M University, Class of 1992 where he was also a member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Football Team 1988-1992. While at Texas A&M, Greg received his Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Economics and his Master's Degree in Land Economics and Real Estate. Aggieland is where he met his wife, Shannon and it remained a special place for them both, sharing many great times at Kyle Field.

Greg was Executive Vice President with JLL Valuation and Advisory Services. He began his real estate appraisal career with Sherwood & Associates and later moved to what would become Integra Realty Resources DFW. Greg was active in litigation and eminent domain work. He was an excellent expert witness and clients referred to him as a "gentle giant" in the courtroom. Greg earned his MAI from the Appraisal Institute and his Senior Right of Way Professional Designation from the International Right of Way Association (IRWA). Greg served in various leadership roles of the IRWA Chapter 36, including President. He was awarded IRWA Chapter 36 Professional of the Year and also recognized by the Fort Worth Business Press as a 40 Under 40 Honoree.

Greg was a leader, role model and an outstanding mentor to many young appraisers.

Greg is survived by his wife, Shannon Bullock Cook of Fort Worth; parents, Jim and Prissy Cook of Amarillo; brother, Chris Cook and wife, Melissa of Edmond, OK; nephews, Jackson and Owen Cook; uncle and aunt, Gary and Linda Cook of Wichita Falls; numerous cousins; and his in-laws, Creighton Maynard, Jr., and Glenda Maynard of Fort Worth and Richard Bullock of The Villages, FL.

Preceded in death by his grandparents, Sleepy and Cupie Harris, Una Cook McClenny, and Dean Cook.

A celebration of Greg's life will be held at a later date in Aggieland.
