Marcy Kay Harris passed away on December 5, 2020. She was 49 years old. She was born in Uvalde on October 7, 1971 to Cynthia Jan Harris and the late Ralph Henry Harris III.

Marcy Kay always loved dance. For many years she participated in dance with Mrs. Delia Light and later in high school with the Hi Steppers. She graduated from UHS in 1990, She received her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M and her masters from Houston Baptist. She was a leader in the advancement of technology in education. Working at Region IV Education Center in Houston she established platforms for instruction for school districts and universities throughout the United States.

Marcy Kay ran “Cousin Camp” in the summers for her nieces and nephews. She would take them to the beach and museums, giving cousins a chance to spend time together. She loved playing trivia with her friends. Several times she advanced to the National Trivia League championship competition. She was also an avid Aggies and Astros fan. She was lucky enough to see Justin Verlander pitch a no hitter.

She is survived by her life partner Rick Molnar and his four children, Sara, Beth, Ricky and David and grandchild Miles. She is also survived by brother Randy Harris and wife Karen of Uvalde Texas, sister Cindy Harris Vink and husband Rich Vink of Sabinal Texas, brother Sutton “Tut” Wardlaw and wife Nealie of Comfort Texas, and sister Deb Wardlaw of Kerrville Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Nephews include Christian Withrow, Mac Withrow, Bleu Withrow and wife Nina, Garrett Vink and Louis J Wardlaw IV and wife Jianna. Nieces include Courtney Rimel and husband Garrett, Kelly Kelley and husband Jonathon, Deborah Patillo and husband Lance, Reagan Wardlaw, Emma Wardlaw, Ellason Wardlaw, Camryn Wardlaw and Kaylee Vink.

Her grandnephews include Merritt Patillo, Hannibal Patillo, Alan Wardlaw, Henry Rimel, Everett Rimel and Luke Kelley. Her grandnieces include Catina Patillo, Laurel Kelley and Savannah Rimel.

She is preceded in death by her mother Cynthia Jan Wardlaw, her father Ralph Henry Harris III and her beloved stepfather Louis J. Wardlaw II. She is also preceded in death by her nephew Ralph Henry Harris IV, niece Rebecca Vink and brother Louis J Wardlaw III.

A memorial visitation will be held at Scott Funeral Home on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A memorial service will be held at Scott Funeral Home on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. A separate memorial service will be held in Uvalde, Texas at St. Philips Episcopal Church on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 2:00 P.M.

Services will be held under the direction of Scott Funeral Home. 1421 E. Hwy 6. Alvin, Texas 77511.
