David A. Young
October 20, 1927 - October 30, 2020
David A. Young, 93, of Duncanville passed away on Friday, October 30, 2020. David was born on October 20, 1927 in Columbus, MS. to Henry Earl Young and Thelma Louise Templeton Young. Out of high school he joined the Navy during World War II. He left the Navy
as a Seaman, First Class to attend Texas A&M where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and was Class of 1955. In 1953 he married the love of his life, Dorothy Gadberry.
A graveside service will be held at 11:15am on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Dallas- Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 – 10 am on Monday November 9, 2020 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy M. Young, sister, Dorothy E. Norton and husband James W. Norton, brother-in-law DeWitt Gadberry, and nephew-in-law William (Bob) Martin.
Survivors include his sister-in-law Mary Gadberry, nephew and nieces, Jim Norton and wife Sue, Susan Martin, D’Andrea Gadberry, Genny Gaderry Burnap and husband Paul, great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
