Lucas Bailey Bowyer, 27 of Texas City, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.
Lucas Bailey Bowyer was born on November 6, 1992 in Houston, Texas to parents Wyoma and Ronald Bowyer of Sealy.
Lucas is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Bowyer of Sutton, West Virginia and Charles Thomas and Ruby Gorrell Thomas of Barberton, Ohio.
He is survived by his parents Ronald Bowyer and Wyoma Thomas Bowyer of Sealy, Texas, sister Rebecca (David) Bowyer Crowley of San Antonio, Texas, grandmother Shelby Long Bowyer of Sutton, West Virginia, numerous uncles, aunts and cousins in Ohio and West Virginia,
and K9 companion, Buttercup.
Lucas was raised in Sealy. He graduated from Sealy High School as Class of 2011, during his time there he was active in band, Tiger Stage Company, High School Football, German Club & National honor Society. He was awarded Eagle Scout from Boy Scouts of America
Troop 548 in 2011. Lucas attended Texas A&M in Galveston from 2011-2013 until he joined the U. S. Marine Corp. He graduated MCRD Basic Training as PFC in San Diego, California in November 2013, then attended the Military Police Training at Fort Leonardwood,
Missouri. he was stationed in Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan and Manilla, Philippines and was promoted to Sergeant while stationed in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina in 2018. He was attending Texas A&M in Galveston at the time of his death.
