Funeral Mass: St Henry Catholic Church

Stephen Wade Waddill, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, went to join our Heavenly Father on Friday, October 2, 2020. He passed peacefully at home after a prolonged illness.

Steve was born on October 1, 1944 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Walton and Elizabeth (Keller) Waddill. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1966, and began his lifelong career as an accountant. After working in the oil, insurance, and boot industries, he established his own CPA firm, where he worked until retirement.

Steve was a faithful member of the Catholic Church his whole life. He loved spending weekends out on his boat, 5:00 happy hour, and blueberry pie. His smile always lit up a room, and his precious spirit will be dearly missed.

Steve is survived by his wife of 28 years, Jean; his daughters Cynthia Miller (Steve) of Texas, Carey Armentrout (Clarke) of Virginia, Donna Lockaby (Terry) of Tennessee, and Mary Waddill of Texas; his son Stephen Wade Waddill, Jr. of Tennessee; his sisters Sally Stafford, Joan Waddill, and Linda Martin; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

Funeral Mass on Monday, October 12, at St. Henry Catholic Church at 1:00. Face masks required.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
