Walter Lee Shuler, 84, of The Woodlands, Texas, went to his heavenly home Monday, August 24, 2020.

Walter was born January 3, 1936, in San Antonio Texas to Buck Jewel Shuler and Wally Strickland. He graduated from Milby High School in 1953, married his beautiful bride Norma Jean Anderson August 25, 1956, and graduated from his beloved Texas A&M University class of 1957. Walter spent his career as a safety engineer for 43 years. He loved God, his country, the Aggies, and his family and friends. He was an avid fisherman, boater, amateur architect and builder. And he was a giver. Chances are if you knew him, he had given you something - a knife, a birdhouse, candy you didn’t know you wanted, donut holes - something! He just had the most generous spirit.

He is also survived by his sister, Wanda “Suzie” Shuler Almquist and husband Sam Almquist, and his brother, Bruce “Butch” Shuler and wife Shirley and several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Wally Shuler and his in-laws, Ted and Vida Mae Anderson. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 29, at 8:30 AM for family, 9:00 AM for friends, followed by a celebration of life at 10:00 AM, at Spring First Church, 1851 Spring Cypress Road, Spring, Texas 77388.
