Jason Russell Dalchau
August 29, 1982 - June 22, 2020
Brilliant, quick witted, and a hilariously dry sense of humor. These are just a few words that describe Jason Russell Dalchau and barely encompass the large void that will be felt by his sudden and tragic passing.
We tragically lost Jason Dalchau on the morning of June 22 after a hospital stay and complications that developed from acute pancreatitis and sepsis. He leaves behind his sweetheart of 15 years that he met while attending Texas A&M University and his 6-month
old son, Orion Russell Dalchau. Orion brought him so much joy and was one of the last people that he spoke about before his untimely passing.
Every person who knew Jason was touched by him and he was a friend to anyone who crossed his path. Jason made an incredible impact on the lives of many throughout his 17-year career in medicine. He started his journey with the Texas A&M Emergency Care Team
and Texas A&M EMS, worked in the Emergency Room at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas, all the way to his current position at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Riverbend in Springfield, Oregon where he was able to work with his passion in cardiology. For his family,
there was no better dad and husband; he enjoyed going hiking and adventuring, preparing and celebrating life with gourmet meals, and a general zest and passion for life. He was a man of many passions – food, planes, biking, science, debate, deep thought, and
stimulating intellectual conversations.
