Dr. Larry Joseph Christensen, DVM
MARCH 21, 1948 – JUNE 14, 2020
Dr. Larry Joseph Christensen, DVM, 72, beloved Veterinarian and owner of Baytown Animal Hospital passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020.
He was born March 21, 1948 in Houston, TX to Donald Allen Christensen and Mary Elizabeth (Martin) Christensen.
He graduated from Pearland High School in 1966. He married the love of his life Betty on July 25, 1970. He attended Texas A&M University first receiving a Degree in Agriculture Economics, but then deciding that his calling and desire had always been to be a DVM. He opened Baytown Animal Hospital in October of 1980. Doc had a genuine love for animals and it showed through the special care that he gave each one that came to see him. He couldn't have made it without the support and dedication from his staff which were all very special to him.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Betty Christensen; son, Larry Joseph Christensen, Jr. and wife Julie; grandchildren, Jack, Carter, and Charley; brothers, Donnie, David, and Bobby; numerous loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service to honor his life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2020, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521.
