Charles William Rushing
September 5, 1941 - May 28, 2020
Charles William Rushing, 78, died May 28 following a car wreck. He had lived a full life with loving family members, special friends, wide ranging experiences, and many interests.
He is survived by Linda, his wife of 56 years, daughter Kris Pritchard and son in law Rick, son in law John Cardona, granddaughters Alexis Cardona and Renee Pritchard Jackson and husband Jake Jackson, sister in law Cynthia Bowers Kimmel and husband Paul, and
many other relatives.
He and Linda collected special friends from everywhere, from Texas A&M beginning in their college days through "new" Huntsville friends. Charles was an Air Force pilot during the Vietnam era, a banker for 25 years, a business owner for another 25 years, a world
traveler, and an art glass collector. He will best be remembered for his ability to make all feel loved and appreciated.
Visitation will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 3 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with a memorial service following immediately after. Donations may be made to SHSU Food Pantry in memory of Charles Rushing or to Covenant with Christ
Food Pantry of Huntsville.
