King Crutchfield
SEPTEMBER 15, 1926 – APRIL 29, 2020
King Crutchfield, 93, husband of the late Doris Crutchfield, died on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 in Pearland, Texas. Born on September 15, 1926, he was the son of the late James Clifford and Olive Elizabeth Crutchfield. Mr. Crutchfield attended Texas A&M University
where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He left Texas A&M temporarily to join the U.S. Navy during World War II where he trained in electronics. After the end of the war he returned to Texas A&M and finished his degree. Some years later he attended
the University of Houston where he earned a master’s degree in education. Most of his career was in the oil and gas services field where he worked as research laboratory director for Hughes Tool Company. He is survived by daughter Rebecca and her husband Ron,
son Mark and his wife Theresa, and son John and his wife Loraine. He is also survived by granddaughter Katharine and grandson Brian.
