Paul Holden
AUGUST 27, 1952 – JANUARY 1, 2020

Paul Holden, a resident of Buda, TX, passed away on January 1, 2020, at the age of 67. Paul is survived by his wife, Christia; his two sons, Doug (Carin) and Blake; 7 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and his sister, MaryAnn. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Eunice; his sister, Sylvia; and his brother, Wayne.

Paul was born in Houston, TX, on August 27, 1952. He graduated from Texas A&M University with an M.S. in Land Development and went on to work in the commercial lending business producing commercial loans for income producing properties, predominantly in the multi-family industry. He has developed apartment communities throughout the U.S. using Housing Tax Credits as a source of equity and has been involved in the development of hundreds of communities providing housing to lower income families throughout Texas and the southwestern states.

Paul enjoyed visiting with strangers, friends, and family, and he was genuinely inquisitive about history and his genealogy. He loved cooking and preparing meals with his kitchen gadgets. He appreciated a good cup of roasted coffee, enjoyed traveling, photography, and creating pottery. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A celebration of life service will be held at First Baptist Church, 325 McCarty Ln, San Marcos, TX, on Sunday, January 5, 2020, at 3:00 pm. Burial will be at Brookside Memorial Park in Houston, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to First Baptist Church, 325 McCarty Ln, San Marcos, TX 78666.
