James (Jim) R. Norwood, 78, peacefully passed at Faith Presbyterian Hospice in Dallas, TX April 5th, 2020 after a lengthy illness.

Born in Memphis, TN October 29, 1941 to parents Henry and Norma Norwood. At age 4 his family moved to New Braunfels where Jim grew up. He graduated from New Braunfels High School (1959); Texas A & M University (1963); and Harvard Business School (1969).

Survived by wife of 57 years, Jayne Flume Norwood: son Matt Norwood ( wife Jennifer); and grandchildren Tyler and Julie of Plano, Texas; sister Norma Lee Norwood of Queen Creek AZ and brother Rev. Dan Norwood of Mesquite, Texas. Jim was well known for his intellect, quick wit, sense of hum and storytelling abilities.

A Military Burial at DFW National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
