Jason Everett Hults
AUGUST 4, 1982 – APRIL 7, 2020

Jason Everett Hults, loving husband, father, son, colleague, and friend passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at the age of 37 due to complications from a recently diagnosed blood and platelet disorder.

Jason met the love of his life, Alyson, in 2003 at Texas A&M University. They married on November 5, 2009. Jason and Alyson have two beautiful daughters, Elena (9) and Brianna (6), and he loved all three of his girls more than anything else. The love shared between all four of them will forever be something everyone remembers.

Jason graduated from Highland Park High School in 2000. Throughout his childhood, one of his passions was participating in the Boy Scouts, and he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 2000. One of his many other passions during high school was participating in gymnastics and the theater program at HPHS.

After high school, Jason attended and graduated from TAMU with a B.S. in Ocean Engineering in 2005. While at TAMU, one of his greatest joys was being a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and developing relationships with all his brothers there and then mentoring incoming members. He also loved competing with the TAMU Gymnastics team and coaching gymnastics at Bryan High School.

After graduation from TAMU, Jason began his professional career at Technip (now Technip-FMC). In recent years, Jason has been in a leadership role at Wood Group. During Jason’s professional career, he was a valuable member within the Risk & Integrity Management sphere of the Oil & Gas Industry. He built many unforgettable relationships with colleagues and clients, and his contributions to his field will be remembered always.

As a man, husband, father, colleague, friend, Jason will be known first and foremost for wanting to make sure he was taking care of everyone around him and making sure those same people laugh. He will always be remembered for his incredible art, his love for dancing, his love for music of all types, his love of movies, and his strong desire to be in the wild outdoors, particularly Philmont and Grand Teton National Park. Finally, Jason loved being an active volunteer at his daughters’ elementary school and a mentor to many of the other young people in his neighborhood and in the community.

Many people believe God called Jason home too soon. A comfort for all of us is that it can only be because he was needed for a higher purpose. It’s just like Jason to be working on a project of grandiose scale.

Due to the difficult time in our world today, all services, celebrations, or remembrances for Jason have been put on hold. Until we can meet, please keep Alyson, Elena, & Brianna and the rest of Jason’s family in your thoughts and prayers. The Hults family is also working to make decisions about recognitions or donations and will reach out when the time is appropriate.
