This memorial was created in honor of Tawfik "Tawfy" Mohamed Omran of Bryan, Texas. Tawfik was born on March 8, 1954 in Egypt and passed on March 26, 2020. Tawfik was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all friends and family.
The Texas A&M CVM is mourning the loss of a great teacher and mentor, Dr. Mohamed Tawfik Omran.
His students and colleagues will miss his infectious laugh and constant joy in the day-to-day life of a faculty member.
Dr. Ramesh Vemulapalli, his department head, describes Dr. Omran as a passionate teacher and a caring mentor to numerous biomedical sciences undergraduate students.
As Dean Eleanor M. Green said, "His death is a great loss to our college and his department."
