Jerry Bob Pierce, age 72, of Spring, Texas, passed away on March 8, 2020.
He was born August 21, 1947, in Greenville, Texas, to Homer Delbert Pierce and Pattie Sue (McCurry) Pierce. Jerry met his wife, Nelda, in the first grade. They started dating in high school, and the two were married on his birthday, August 21, 1968.

He obtained his doctorate degree in veterinary medicine in 1969. After graduation, he joined the army and was stationed in San Antonio and Colorado Springs. He was a practicing veterinarian in Plano, Texas for over 40 years. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed reading, skeet shooting, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids.
He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Stacey Kaser and husband Craig of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Taylor Grace Kaser and Nicholas Kaser; sister, Linda Wilson and husband James of Royse City, Texas; brothers-in-law, Jerry Lynn Joslin and wife Linda, and Jimmy Don Joslin and wife Nellie of Caddo Mills, Texas; and uncle, Bobby John Pierce and wife Sandra of Royse City, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Delbert and Pattie Sue Pierce; loving wife, Nelda Pierce; and daughter, Shelley Holloway.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at noon.
