Steve "Carl" Dixon Jr. '90 February 24, 2020 10:11 AM updated: February 24, 2020 10:14 AM

Steve Carl Dixon Jr, also known as Big C, 55, of Florence, Texas, passed away on February 18th, 2020 in Carrollton, TX. Carl won many battles against cancer, but lost the war after 6 years.
Memorial Services for Carl will be held at First Baptist Church Frisco, at 7901 Main Street, Frisco, TX 75034 on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11 a.m., officiated by Larry Megason.

Carl was born in San Angelo, TX on April 19, 1964, to Steve and Davina Dixon. He graduated from Frisco High School and continued to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A & M University (Gig’em Aggies).

Carl was married to Laura Dixon on August 28, 2010. They were married for 9 ½ years. A business owner and rancher for the past 30 years, Carl enjoyed fishing, hunting, martial arts, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Blue Line Bass Club and participated in bass fishing tournaments. He was a martial arts instructor and after retiring he continued to volunteer and mentor black belts.

He is preceded in death by his beautiful mother, Davina Dixon; grandparents, Mary & Worley Campbell and Alberta & Woodrow Suggs.

Carl is survived by his wife, Laura Dixon; children, Timothy Dixon (Paisley), Kevin Singletary (Melissa), Jaclyn Dixon, Sarah Donnelly (JD), Ryan Cantu (Kayla), and Kristen Nordeen (Josh); grandchildren, Adam, Madlyn, Maddox, Kiana, Lily, Liam, Alexis, Mason, Peyton, and Piper; father, Steve Dixon; sisters, Tyrina Soullas (Bruce), Laura Garza (Alfred), Stephanie Dixon, and Debra Cantu (Ricardo); nieces and nephews, Cody, Misty, Kelci, Desirae, Alexis, Dalton, Miranda, and Ashley; and other family and friends.
