Nicholas Joseph King, passed away at the young age of 19 on February 7th, 2020 in a tragic car accident. Nic was an amazing person beyond words. We could all take a page out of his book on how to live, think and treat each other. A Funeral Mass will be 11 am, Saturday, February 15,2020 at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Waco. A visitation with the family will be from 5-7 pm, Friday, February 14, 2020 at Grace Gardens Funeral Home in Woodway. A Rosary will be said at 7 pm.

Nic was shaped by his early childhood where he was raised with the King’s River in his backyard, near the base of the Sequoia National Forrest in California. Nicholas had been a resident of Waco, TX for the last 8 years where he graduated with honors from Midway High School in 2018, while lettering his last 3 years in swimming. He went on to attend Tarleton State University for a year where he pursued his passion by taking Honors Geology classes. Nic then transferred to Texas A&M as a Junior where he majored in Geophysics with aspirations to obtain both his Bachelors and Masters degrees. He was proud to be an Aggie.

His passions included spending time with family, cooking amazing meals every day, his health, snowboarding, collecting rocks and learning about the earth, long hikes, camping, fishing, scuba diving, and learning as much as he could. Nic was a genuine, hard working young man with a strong moral compass. He had the future at his fingertips and the know-how to transform it to be rewarding and fulfilling.
