Donald Mardon Woodman
May 25, 1933 - January 17, 2020
Funeral services for Mr. Donald Mardon Woodman will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2020, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Hineston, with Reverend Danny George officiating. Interment will follow in Fellowship Cemetery, Hineston, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Hineston.
Mr. Woodman, 86, of Elmer, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 17, 2020, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.
He was a graduate of Texas A&M University and worked for Olan Mills Portrait Studios in the 1980’s. He loved to pig farm and he raised registered Duroc pigs for 4-H. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Woodman and Grace Manning; one son, William Russell Woodman and one brother, Robert Earl Woodman.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife. Anna S. Woodman, of Elmer; three sons, Robert Charles Woodman, of Hineston, James Mardon Woodman and John David Woodman, of Collinston; one daughter, Donna Elizabeth Woodman McConahay, of Elmer; seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Rush Funeral Home, Hineston, on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
