STINSON II, James Edmellaire (Jim) James Edmellaire (Jim) Stinson II died on January 11, 2020 in Dallas. A longtime petroleum geologist in Texas and abroad, Jim was born on February 28, 1949, in Framingham, Massachusetts, to Thomas and Helen Stinson. He received
a Bachelor of Science degree from George Washington University and a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M University. After moving to Dallas, he met Gayle Fisher, originally of Rockford, Ill., and they were married in 1985. Together, they raised two children,
Stewart, of Los Angeles, and Whitney, of New York City. Jim was also an active member and past president of Civitan International. He was an intrepid traveler, who with Gayle and often their children visited many destinations in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Central
and South America. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman, an adventurous cook, and a curious, enthusiastic listener. More than anything, he was a devoted husband, father, in-law, and uncle, to Lily Fisher of Los Angeles. His parents predeceased him. His
survivors also include a sister, Marguerite Stinson, of Jupiter, Florida. They will miss him sorely in May when Stewart marries Caroline Adams of Dallas. The family plans a private service in Framingham, Massachusetts, at a later date. They request that any
donations in his name go to a .
