George Sousares
DECEMBER 28, 1934 – JANUARY 11, 2020
George F. Sousares Jr., 85 passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, January 11, with his family by his side. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, January 14 at 10:00a.m. at College Station Cemetery. George was born December 28,1934 in Ennis, Texas
the son of George and Wilora Sousares. He attended A&M Consolidated High School and went on to receive his BA From his Beloved Texas A&M University - Class of 59. George was a member of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets and Served in the Air Force Reserves from
1959 – 1965.
George was an avid outdoorsman that raced boats and loved to hunt and fish. He was most comfortable “on the water”, he loved spending time on the Texas Gulf Coast or at Camp Creek Lake with his beloved wife of 48 years Jean.
George owned and operated the family business - G.F. Sousares Distributing and served as President of the National Beer Wholesalers Association.
George is preceded in death by his parents George and Wilora Sousares.
He is survived by his Wife Jean Sousares, Son Michael Sousares, Daughters Phyllis Donoho, (Husband Mike), Carol Yeager and Kathy Miller, Mother- In-Law Elsie Clark, Sisters In-Law Linda Knight, Sherry Green, and Brother In-Law Larry Robertson (Wife Ginger).
The family would like to thank the staff of Traditions Hospice for their kind and gentle care and support of the family.
